Winter Trip with Cree Elders David and Anna Bosum

This is a truly special trip that is all about who we are spending time with. Anna and David Bosum are the last generation of Cree to be born and raised in the old way. Come north with us and spend some time slowing down and spending time this wonderful couple. David and Anna have been opening their home and their hearts to people from all over the world for decades. They share stories, wisdom and and a way of life that have been passed down since time immemorial.
We never are sure what we will be up to day to day and the pace is relaxed and comfortable. The Cree town of Ouje-Bougoumou has a beautiful Cultural Center and museum and we will have the opportunity to visit and learn there. Out of town on the shores of Lac Scott, David and Anna have their Cultural Camp where we will stay. There we will eat traditional foods like goose, beaver, moose, rabbit, and lay down at night on fir boughs in small cabins, wall tents or one of their traditional structures. During the day we will share in whatever David and Anna are getting up to. Maybe snowshoeing and checking traps, setting fish nets under the ice or sewing moccasins. Whatever it may be, the joy is in the sharing and spending time with David and Anna on this exceptional trip North.
