Root baskets made of woven cedar, fir and or pine roots go back thousands of years. So do the bark baskets and techniques of collecting and crafting with those materials.
As part of the class you will collect, gather and process the materials. Learning how to do no harm to the tree and leave the environment as healthy as you found it.
We teach you how to turn those newly gathered materials into simple humble functional baskets that can bring beauty to your home but also carry into the woods or garden to gather and harvest.
Lastly you will truly connect with these living materials, listening to them as you weave your basket, and be able to care for the finished product you take home!
