Since people created metal tools they have had to sharpen them.
From the simplest axe to the complicated curved crooked knife, steel tools have given us the ability to shape and craft wood easily. But only if they are sharp!
In this class we will teach you how to sharpen and care for all manner of edge tools using techniques you can take home with you and apply in your everyday life.
Bring a few dull tools to tune up such as a knife, hatchet, hand plane, spokeshave or any edge tool. Ray and Pat will help you sharpen it, tune it and show you the basics of safe use. If you have a sharpening stone bring it - oil, water, or diamond stones are all ok.
